Welcome to Winning Duncan Over! You will find in these pages the story of a Shetland Sheep dog who spent 8 years as a puppy mill stud dog before being rescued. Duncan's rescue is only the beginning of the story however. A great deal of time, work, love and patience is needed to turn an abused puppy mill dog into a happy and healthy pet, and that is the story told here. If you would like to read Duncan's full story I recommend that you start in the Archives at the left with February 2007 - when it all began for me, Duncan's guardian. Thank you for visiting Duncan's site, and please tell a friend!

Shetland Ponies

Duncan and Debbie finally gave up the secret of what their costumes were for the costume contest at the LL Dog Rescue Annual Picnic. Shetland Sheep Dogs now become Shetland Ponies. Aren't they so adorable!?

This is a beautiful picture of Duncan too!

These little saddles are actually real leather saddles with real stitching and everything. They are salesman samples, and I found them on EBay for about $17.00 a piece!

How did you attach the tails? I threaded yarn through Callie's saddle blanket.

I attached the tails and manes with hair clippies or "claws." I tied the yarn to the handles on the clips and then just clipped them into thier fur!
