Welcome to Winning Duncan Over! You will find in these pages the story of a Shetland Sheep dog who spent 8 years as a puppy mill stud dog before being rescued. Duncan's rescue is only the beginning of the story however. A great deal of time, work, love and patience is needed to turn an abused puppy mill dog into a happy and healthy pet, and that is the story told here. If you would like to read Duncan's full story I recommend that you start in the Archives at the left with February 2007 - when it all began for me, Duncan's guardian. Thank you for visiting Duncan's site, and please tell a friend!

Birthday Boy!

Hi all! I apologize for not having written in so long! I'm going to backdate a few posts here.

February 2nd was Duncan's 1 Year Adoption Anniversary, and therefore default Birthday! It's hard to believe that it's been a full year since I met that terrified little Sheltie trembling severely and cowering in the back of his kennel. He has come so far, and grown so much! He's now a happy and confident dog (for a Sheltie.) How old is he you ask? Duncan is now 10 years old!

The day of his Birthday happened to fall on a Saturday. And even better, it was an Adopt-a-Pet day at Petco. So I put his little birthday hat on him (he's such a good sport) and we celebrated with the rescue group. Happy Birthday Duncan!!
