Welcome to Winning Duncan Over! You will find in these pages the story of a Shetland Sheep dog who spent 8 years as a puppy mill stud dog before being rescued. Duncan's rescue is only the beginning of the story however. A great deal of time, work, love and patience is needed to turn an abused puppy mill dog into a happy and healthy pet, and that is the story told here. If you would like to read Duncan's full story I recommend that you start in the Archives at the left with February 2007 - when it all began for me, Duncan's guardian. Thank you for visiting Duncan's site, and please tell a friend!

New Featured Adoptable - Merlin!

Meet Merlin! He is another Sheltie up for adoption with LL Dog Rescue! Merlin is a very sweet and playful Blue Merle colored Sheltie. (One of my favorite colors!) Merlin was the first dog to ever make my Duncan jealous by nudging his head under my hand to be petted and seeking out attention. You can read more about Merlin Here and you can also meet him at the Petco in Overland Park at 75th and Metcalf 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the following Saturdays: April 7 & 21. May 5 & 19. June 2 & 16. July 7 & 21. August 4 & 18. September 1 & 15. October 6 & 20. November 3 & 17. December 1 & 15. Or at the Petco at 136th and Blackbob in Olathe on 4th Sunday of every month, 11am-3pm.

I would even encourage my parents to adopt Merlin, I think he's so wonderful! Ha! Someone please adopt this sweet boy!
