Welcome to Winning Duncan Over! You will find in these pages the story of a Shetland Sheep dog who spent 8 years as a puppy mill stud dog before being rescued. Duncan's rescue is only the beginning of the story however. A great deal of time, work, love and patience is needed to turn an abused puppy mill dog into a happy and healthy pet, and that is the story told here. If you would like to read Duncan's full story I recommend that you start in the Archives at the left with February 2007 - when it all began for me, Duncan's guardian. Thank you for visiting Duncan's site, and please tell a friend!

Debbie the Lawnmower

I mowed the lawn the other day. It really needed it, but had been raining so much lately that I just haven't been able to get it done!. So Sunday afternoon I put Duncan in the house so I could mow. Debbie did not want to go in so I figured I would start the lawnmower and that would encourage her to go inside. Nope. Didn't work that way. The mower didn't bother her one bit. She followed me up to the top of the hill, and then herded me and the lawnmower back and forth, back and forth all the way down the hill. She stayed a few feet off to the side and a few steps behind me and just made sure I kept on going, back and forth. Silly Little Debbie!

Hi, Tatha,
Been a rough week. The Holiday week was hard on everyone. Glad you all survived. You have quite a yard to step off, so Debbie must have wanted to stay close. She is such a lover.
New obedience classes starting, don't forget to call. They are scheduled for Thurs. evenings on July 26th and Sat. on July 28. I did tell Anne you might call.
