Welcome to Winning Duncan Over! You will find in these pages the story of a Shetland Sheep dog who spent 8 years as a puppy mill stud dog before being rescued. Duncan's rescue is only the beginning of the story however. A great deal of time, work, love and patience is needed to turn an abused puppy mill dog into a happy and healthy pet, and that is the story told here. If you would like to read Duncan's full story I recommend that you start in the Archives at the left with February 2007 - when it all began for me, Duncan's guardian. Thank you for visiting Duncan's site, and please tell a friend!

Duncan as a Baby

Ok, so this is not really a picture of Duncan as a baby. This is Caesar, who's adorable pic was posted on Sheltie Nation yesterday.

Today marks Duncan's "birthday," as he came home to me two years ago on February 2nd. He is 11 years old now! Since Duncan was born in the puppy mill and kept for stud, I have no pictures of him in his younger years. But can't you just imagine that this must have been exactly what he would have looked like? Oh how I wish I could have rescued him at this age and had him to cuddle and snuggle and kept him safe from everything he went through! But I have him now, and he will be safe for the rest of his life.

Oh, all that puppy cuteness! 1, 2, 3...Awww! Happy Birthday Dunkie!
