Welcome to Winning Duncan Over! You will find in these pages the story of a Shetland Sheep dog who spent 8 years as a puppy mill stud dog before being rescued. Duncan's rescue is only the beginning of the story however. A great deal of time, work, love and patience is needed to turn an abused puppy mill dog into a happy and healthy pet, and that is the story told here. If you would like to read Duncan's full story I recommend that you start in the Archives at the left with February 2007 - when it all began for me, Duncan's guardian. Thank you for visiting Duncan's site, and please tell a friend!

Ernie

Ernie is an alumni of our rescue group! Rodney and Beth are fosters for Kansas City Sheltie Rescue!

Rodney and Beth, Blue Springs, MO

Ernie is 11 year old 42 lbs Sheltie who was adopted from LL Dog Rescue in 2006.
Ernie came into rescue due to his father going into a nursing home with alltimers. Ernie's litter mate was Bert who was kept by family members. Bert and Ernie grew up on a farm and were working Shelties. They went with their father everyday to work on the farm.
Ernie came into rescue when he was 8 . The first time I saw him I knew he was the dog for me. The first day he came into rescue he was adopted by our family.
Ernie is a very active Sheltie who does agility, flyball and loves the dog park.
Ernie can do 10 tricks and is a great walker. We try to do all the dog walks.
Ernie goes everywhere with me . He loves to ride in my pick-up truck and loves Pizza and Ice cream.

Here's to many years with Ernie, Rodney!
