Welcome to Winning Duncan Over! You will find in these pages the story of a Shetland Sheep dog who spent 8 years as a puppy mill stud dog before being rescued. Duncan's rescue is only the beginning of the story however. A great deal of time, work, love and patience is needed to turn an abused puppy mill dog into a happy and healthy pet, and that is the story told here. If you would like to read Duncan's full story I recommend that you start in the Archives at the left with February 2007 - when it all began for me, Duncan's guardian. Thank you for visiting Duncan's site, and please tell a friend!

Kansas City Pet Expo

I am very excited about the upcoming Kansas City Pet Expo at the American Royal Center on April 28th and 29th, 2007! Presented by No More Homeless Pets KC!

They will have "JUMP: The Ultimate Dog Show" demonstrating Canine Obedience, live Stingray Encounters, Reptile exhibits, a Cat Show, Canine Free Style (Dancing with your Dog) as well as Agility! I am particularly interested in the Agility. I have heard so much about what it can do for a dog's confidence and for the dog-owner (or owned person) relationship! I think this would be great for Duncan and I once we are able to go through a basic obedience class! Check out the Kansas City Pet Expo website for details and maybe I'll see you there! (For clarification, no they are not allowing the public to bring their own pets to the event. Sorry!)
