Welcome to Winning Duncan Over! You will find in these pages the story of a Shetland Sheep dog who spent 8 years as a puppy mill stud dog before being rescued. Duncan's rescue is only the beginning of the story however. A great deal of time, work, love and patience is needed to turn an abused puppy mill dog into a happy and healthy pet, and that is the story told here. If you would like to read Duncan's full story I recommend that you start in the Archives at the left with February 2007 - when it all began for me, Duncan's guardian. Thank you for visiting Duncan's site, and please tell a friend!

Happy and Sad

Well when I picked Duncan and Debbie up they were both happy to see me. Though Duncan is more reserved in his display of affection, I could definitely see the recognition in his eyes and that he was glad to see me. When I asked him if he wanted to go to the park his ears perked up high immediately.

Debbie on the other hand came rushing for me when she realized who I was. It was so cute to see her running towards me. She seemed very happy to see me and pawed at me and stayed very close.

Gracie of course is happy to be back home with me too, although she likes her grandma and grandpa a great deal, and had allot of fun playing with Hannah. She would provoke Hannah and get her to chase her around the house.

So we're all happy to be together again. Unfortunately, poor Little Debbie has got the full blown Snot Nose. Although her nose isn't really snotty, she has been coughing and vomiting the last two nights. Last night was not as bad, and I hope tonight will be even better. She definitely does not feel herself though. Poor little girl.

On another note, Duncan's Obedience Class has been scheduled! We start on Saturday Sept 8th (cross you're fingers that he's not sick by then too!) I'm very excited to get him working on some of his obedience, and I'm excited to see what it does for his confidence and our relationship!
