Welcome to Winning Duncan Over! You will find in these pages the story of a Shetland Sheep dog who spent 8 years as a puppy mill stud dog before being rescued. Duncan's rescue is only the beginning of the story however. A great deal of time, work, love and patience is needed to turn an abused puppy mill dog into a happy and healthy pet, and that is the story told here. If you would like to read Duncan's full story I recommend that you start in the Archives at the left with February 2007 - when it all began for me, Duncan's guardian. Thank you for visiting Duncan's site, and please tell a friend!

Cody

This is Cody, my Niece Julie's dog.

Arlington Heights, IL
Age almost 12 (birthday in July),
Female, possibly terrier/sheltie mix.

We adopted Cody from someone at my husband's work, whose uncle had bought a small puppy in bar but could not take care of it. They were told the puppy was a male purebred German Shepherd, but they were wrong! The vet told us that she was only 3-4 weeks old and would need puppy milk for awhile. Baby Cody licked the milk from my fingers until she got stronger.

Cody has always been a very smart, athletic, sensitive dog. She has become sweeter and more affectionate every year, and gives us many laughs and licks every day.

Beautiful pictures Anna. She definitely looks like she could be part Sheltie. Happy Birthday Cody!
