Welcome to Winning Duncan Over! You will find in these pages the story of a Shetland Sheep dog who spent 8 years as a puppy mill stud dog before being rescued. Duncan's rescue is only the beginning of the story however. A great deal of time, work, love and patience is needed to turn an abused puppy mill dog into a happy and healthy pet, and that is the story told here. If you would like to read Duncan's full story I recommend that you start in the Archives at the left with February 2007 - when it all began for me, Duncan's guardian. Thank you for visiting Duncan's site, and please tell a friend!

Lil Lady

Diane Greene, Byron, GA
Lil Lady, Female, Approx Age - 3 years

ADOPTABLE!! Lil Lady has been fully vetted and is being "prettied up" before transport to Peach State Sheltie Rescue

Lil Lady is a tri sheltie that has been wondering (surviving) in a South Bibb County neighborhood in Macon, GA for about 9 months. I found out about her through a friend. Her sister lived in the neighborhood and had begun bringing LL in at night so she wouldn't get hurt. Her sister could not afford to provide the care LL needed. From the Vet, we learned that LL was spayed approximately 9-12 months ago and is heartworm "NEGATIVE". They are fully vetting her and providing the spa treatment she needs as she is very matted from being on her own. We assume she ate well as she is overweight and will be put on a smart plan. LL is a very pretty girl but a little timid from being on the street. Probably for lack of anything else to do, LL has a tendency to chase cars. Why wouldn't she? She is bored and needs a job like all shelties!

LL's transport to Atlanta will be this coming Thursday where they will find her a forever home. Updated photos will be provided.

Lil Lady was adopted over the weekend. She will live a great life in a loving home not having to worry about being on the street again. Thanks to all.

Raving reports on Lil Lady now "Gracie". Her new owners named her "Amazing Grace" as she came into their lives at just the right time and is perfect for them. An order for a personalized LL Bean bed is in the works. That little girl will have it made.
